CTBA/LSHABA Safety Seminar

Our CTBA/LSHABA combined safety seminar in Austin was held Saturday, February 27th, 2010. 

The topic was "Pilot Decision Making/Accident Prevention". Guest presenters were Pat Cannon, FAA Designated Examiner for balloons, jets, airplanes, helicopters and seaplanes, U.S. National and World Hot Air Balloon Champion and Pete Carter, owner of balloon repair station Airventure Balloonport, FAA Accident Prevention Counselor and FAA Designated Examiner. CTBA members Joe Reynolds and Tim Baggett also made presentations along with an impromptu talk by Sam Reynolds.

About 50 people attended, half from out of Austin and half non pilots. Speakers were given either an aluminum water bottle or gym bag with the CTBA logo displayed. Next year the seminar will be held in Houston by the LSHABA.
